Damon Nikco Riesgo, Sr.

Nikco is the founder of the MLPO. He has been retired from Major League Baseball since 1995. He has an extensive and varied background. He has played with the San Diego Padres, New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies, Montreal Expos, Kansas City Royals, Milwaukee Brewers, Detroit Tigers, and Boston Red Sox organizations. The MLPO is the culmination of his desire and passion to help others become successful in baseball and life after the "Game".
Nikco graduated from the famed Long Beach Poly High School in Long Beach California. He finished with a 3.98 GPA and National Scholar Athlete Awards. He earned a full scholarship to San Diego St. University to study Business Finance and follow the successful footsteps of former Poly High and SDSU greats Tony Gwynn and Chris Gwynn into the Major Leagues, debuting in 1991 with the Montreal Expos.
Nikco utilizes the combination of his diverse business education and baseball experience to enhance the MLPO on a daily basis. His baseball background contributes to his ability to quickly assess the current needs of the "Game" and establish realistic goals. His business experience augments the communication skills necessary to understand the corporate advertising opportunities in which the MLPO grows.
His mission is to build an organization that can support over 10 million members who can interact online, share the secrets of their success, and promote the "Game" of baseball throughout the entire Globe.
