Clemens Throws Last Pitch of his Legacy
Byline: Nikco Riesgo
2008-02-15

The final pitch of Roger Clemens will be forever remembered within the public’s eye.

The last pitch the world will ever see from the historic baseball legend.

His time has finally come to an end.

One last fastball up and in against the chin of his Mitchell Report foe McNamee.

One last fastball down the middle to blow away the Congressional Senators for the win.

The greatest game of his life needed much more than any steroid or HGH drug could possibly have helped him.

He had the fierce game face on as a World Series Champion who threw the broken bat right back at Mike Piazza, after demolishing the future Hall of Fame catcher’s sacred wood.

Whether it was "roid rage" or not, Roger Clemens doesn’t need any drugs.

He has enough vigor, determination and extremely well paid attorneys to stand by his name.

One of the greatest pitchers in Major League history.

No one will ever know for sure who is telling the truth.

99% of most fans will believe he did use performance enhancing drugs and believe his close friend Andy Pettitte’s statement that Roger unmistakably told him he did.

It is now up to the Justice Department to deliver the outcome.

Whatever it is, Baseball will continue to do everything possible to eliminate the use of performance enhancing drugs from the “Game”.

We can all be thankful for that.
